Austrade pushes for 1 million International Students in Australia by 2025
The trade commission of Australia - Austrade is working with the Australian International Education Sector to develop the much anticipated, long term market development strategy - Australian International Education - AIE 2025.
The two big challanges this pioneering yet ambitious strategy plans to explore are:
Can Australia move towards doubling the number of international students and visitors learning and training in Australia?
Can Australia increase the number of people overseas who are learning and training via Australian-developed courses or content?
It would be quite interesting to see whether the upcoming changes to the current "cumbersome" student visa regime, with SVP (Streamlined Visa Processing) arrangements making way to SSVF (Simplified Streamlined Visa Framework) will be a step in line with the vision of AIE 2025.
